Gwyneth Paltrow may have been named the world’s most beautiful woman by People magazine, but that doesn’t mean the stunning star hasn’t followed a fashion trend she’d like to forget.
“Fringe,” she revealed on “Good Morning America,” “I mean, what?”
Paltrow, 40, graces the cover of the magazine’s 2013 World’s Most Beautiful People issue,
and is returning to the big screen in “Iron Man 3,” reprising her role
as Pepper Potts, the superhero’s longtime assistant and smart and sexy
love interest.
“I love Pepper. I think she’s wonderful, I love playing her, and
especially in this one,” Paltrow told Lara Spencer in an interview that
aired today on “GMA.”
Paltrow “absolutely loved” getting to wear her own super hero suit in
this flick, she said, mostly because it gave her some “cool mom” clout
with her son, Moses, who was on set.
“My son, he was on set and he’s an ‘Iron Man’ fan was like absolutely
in awe. I don’t think he’s ever been so happy that I was his mother,”
she joked.
Starring opposite Robert Downey Jr., who plays Tony Starks, helps
boost her standing with her son too. “I adore him, my children adore
him,” Paltrow gushed about her co-star. “He’s amazing. … He’s like
family to me at this point.”
The movie hits theaters Friday, May 3, and Paltrow says Pepper’s
relationship with Tony Stark, will captive male and female moviegoers
alike.
“Pepper and [Tony Stark], their relationship in this movie is very
interesting. It’s very real and you see some of the strain, but it ends
up being a very romantic story. I think for women especially they will
enjoy this film the most because there’s a really fantastic element and
there’s also a lot of …. girl power.”
Paltrow loves acting, but first and foremost, she’s a mom to her two kids with musician husband, Chris Martin of Coldplay.
“I look to do one movie a year that fits around my family’s
schedule,” she said. “My family is my priority by far, and the great
thing about having these ancillary interests is that I’m home and I’m
being really creative, but … I’m still the person who is taking them to
school and making them dinner and putting them to bed.”
Also on the star’s plate: a new cookbook, “It’s All Good,” which outlines her clean and healthy approach to food and healthful recipes she swears by for her and her kids.
“This collection of recipes is just really near and dear to my
heart,” she said. “Just clean healthy delicious food that doesn’t taste
healthy basically.”
The fit and healthy star is only human and manages to give into some cravings. Her guilty pleasure?
“French fries, anything fried. If you dip that,” Paltrow said in the
“GMA” interview, pointing to a set of note cards, “in batter and fry it,
I’ll eat your cards.”
